Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most, answered plainly.
What is QR SPACE?
A branded, modular digital space that opens when someone scans a business’s QR code. It brings the business’s existing services, customer engagement and new commercial opportunities into one expandable destination, under the business’s own identity.
Is it another QR menu?
No. A menu is one module of a Space, and it can be ROVIA’s native menu or a link to the one the business already uses. The same Space holds offers, events, games, feedback, contact channels and, over time, other services.
Must businesses replace their current provider or printed QR?
No. The business keeps its menu and POS relationships. Existing printed QR codes can be reused without replacement only when the current provider can reroute them to QR SPACE; ROVIA cannot modify an arbitrary static third-party QR code. If rerouting is not possible, a new QR is placed once and never needs to change again.
Can a business start free?
The model is built around a free starting package and premium packages. Exact terms are agreed through the country representative when a business joins.
Who controls the business’s customers and data?
The business owns its relationship with its customers. QR SPACE is designed so that guest feedback and contacts go to the business, not to the network. The privacy notice and partner agreements set out the details.
How does a country representative generate revenue?
Through the routes the network is built around: QR SPACE packages for local businesses, licensed products and third-party applications, and optional commercial placements. Direct Country Operator sales use an indicative 50% ROVIA / 50% Country Operator share, and subpartner-led sales an indicative 35% ROVIA / 35% Country Operator / 30% Subpartner share, of the agreed net distributable revenue, subject to licensing obligations and final contracts. No revenue is guaranteed.
Can existing software companies bring their own products?
Yes. A technology company can connect its existing product to QR SPACE or offer it as a module. Integration may require initial technical work; the goal is a reusable integration and, later, partner-controlled activation.
Can independent developers distribute applications through ROVIA?
Developers may submit products to the shared catalogue, subject to technical review and licensing. The developer marketplace is planned and not live yet; applications are being collected now.
Can partners offer new free modules to their customers?
In principle, yes: once a module has passed review and integration, a partner can offer it to its own customers. Modules are activated only for authorized participating businesses.
How do integrations and module activations work?
A module is integrated once with QR SPACE, reviewed for technical standards and security, and licensed. Today integrations are arranged individually with the ROVIA team. Over time the aim is for partners to activate approved modules for their own authorized businesses.
What are sponsorship and commerce opportunities?
Optional placements inside a Space: a brand sponsoring an experience, or a business selling packaged products or linking to its suppliers. They are always optional for the business and are not live yet. Brand partners can register their interest now.
Is the network limited to restaurants and cafés?
No. Hospitality is the launch market, not the limit. Any business with a QR — a hotel, taxi, store, market, event, gym or product packaging — can have a Space.
Does submitting an application guarantee country exclusivity?
No. Exclusivity is conditional, discussed individually and set only in a signed agreement. An application registers your interest and starts a review.
